Do you think The Land Before Time could have done without the sequels? Or would LBT not become as popular without them?
I admit, I'm not overly fond of the sequels. I prefer the original. Who doesn't? I don't know many people who like the sequels more than the original.
But thinking about it, I'm not sure myself if LBT would have really benefited from a lack of sequels. The sequels brought in new fans, as late as 2007, so without them, there is that chance that Land Before Time would have faded into obscurity.
Overall, the sequels aren't that bad, but there are some things I don't like about them, such as the songs. I wished they didn't keep adding songs in every sequel. I felt them to be completely unnecessary.

That's a very good question and a very good point. I agree that perhaps without the sequels, it wouldn't of had as big of a fan-base as it does now.
Of course, many of us would probably agree that the same could have been said if those sequels had actually been made better. X3

Lol Yeah true. X3 Maybe the fanbase would have gotten even larger if the sequels were better handled.
